Day 8: Blue de Chèvre

Day 8: Blue de Chèvre

I rarely put cheese in my salads (feta notwithstanding), but today’s blue de chèvre (from the Languedoc region) was a delicious addition to a cool mix of crisp vegetables, crunchy lettuce, some diced green plums, and Mrs Fromage’s homemade vinaigrette. Unlike the Roquefort I ate a few days ago, this cheese was very mild and creamy in texture, with a light almost-minty taste that revealed only a hint of its caprine origin.
